It’s been a year of headlines dominated by extreme weather and natural disasters, sporting events that brought the world together, and space advances that renewed our Mars obsession. From Facebook testifying to Paradise, California burning, these are some of the most incredible (and sometimes, viral) moments captured on film this year.

1. Banksy's Shredding Art Stunt
